Buckhill to Galena: The Perfect Short Kayak Trip
Start your adventure at our downtown Galena store! We’ll pick you up on our shuttle bus and transport you upriver to our private launch site at Wilderness Landing. This 5-mile trip is our shortest shuttle option and is perfect for beginners, families, or anyone looking to enjoy a couple of hours floating downstream.
The journey begins with a little bit of fast-moving water to get you going, but quickly slows down into a calm, relaxing paddle for the remainder of the trip. As you navigate the winding river, you will be surrounded by beautiful rural scenery and have excellent opportunities to spot local wildlife and fish.
The best part? You paddle right back into town! When you return to the downtown dock, you will be just a 1.5-block walk from where you parked your car at our shop.
