All equipment rentals start at our shop where you will sign waivers. From there, it’s just a short 1.5 block walk to the Depot Park boat dock where our staff will launch you directly into the river.
We recommend starting your journey by paddling East against the slow-moving current. After an hour of exploration and taking in the historic scenery of downtown Galena, you’ll enjoy a relaxing, easy float back to the dock.
Trip Details & Convenience
We make kayaking effortless! You don’t need to transport the kayak yourself. You will meet at our store to pick up your Coast Guard-approved life vests and paddles. Our boats are securely stored at the dock ready for you. Plus, there is plenty of free parking available in the lot directly across from our shop, making your arrival stress-free.
